A Yoruba based group, O’odua Nationalist Coalition (ONAC) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint an indigene of Ondo State as the next managing director of the Commission Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)

ONAC said some indigenes of the Niger/Delta other than Ondo State have been lobbying politicians to take over the position noting that the lobbyists were agents of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) who claimed to have decamped to the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The group said, “The oil-producing Ilaje community stood by President Muhammadu Buhari and the (APC) during the last election. It will be quite unfair if the next NDDC managing director fails to come from oil producing communities in Ondo State”
