Hajj 2018: Kano commences induction, pregnancy test for intending pilgrims

Kano State Pilgrims Welfare pilgrims Board has commenced daily orientation exercise and medical fitness for intending pilgrims towards smooth operations of 2018 hajj.

The exercise involves basic induction program required to prepare the intending pilgrims on the spiritual and ethical behaviours of the pilgrimage at the holy land of Saudi Arabia.

Speaking with journalists yesterday, at the board headquarters, Director of Operations, Kano State Pilgrims Board, Alhaji Usman Maikano revealed that 32 induction centres are open for orientation courses daily, until the commencement of airlifting of pilgrims to the holy land.

Maikano disclosed that no fewer that 313 Islamic scholars have been engaged as facilitators to conduct the exercise.

On the preparedness so far, the director added that compulsory pregnancy test of intending female pilgrims to detect pregnancy status will soon commence.
