Hausa community commends Umahi for inclusion, appointments
The Hausa community in Ebonyi state yesterday eulogised governor, David Umahi for appointing five Hausa men into his government, describing the appointment as democracy in action.
Speaking to journalists, the spokesman of the Hausa community and one of the appointees, Sule Mohammed noted that they have never enjoyed such since they started living in the state, noting that they now feel at home.
The appointees are Salisu Mohammed and Haladu Ismail, both technical assistants to the governor on herdsmen and Alhaji Sule Mohammed, technical assistant to the governor on sports. Others are Haiya Asmau Gambo and Lawal Hamajoda, both liaison officers.
He further noted that the Ebonyi state government has demonstrated true patriotism and belief in unity of the Nigerian nation, imploring governors of other geo-political zones to emulate him.
Mohammed explained that the appointment of Hausa men as Technical Assistants of Herdsmen would help in the management of the relationship and activities of the herdsmen as their kinsmen as technical assistants would easily dialogue with them.
