Ijaw APC leaders endorse Buhari for re-election

All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders of Ijaw extraction in Delta State have resolved to support President Muhammadu Buhari in his bid for a second term in office.

This may have put paid to the perceived disunity among the APC members from the bloc.

At an enlarged meeting of APC leaders and members from Warri South-West, Patani, Bomadi, Burutu, Warri North, Warri South councils, APC leader, Hon. George Timinimi, said the Ijaw nation would fair better under a Buhari government.

A communiqué signed by Timinimi, Theodore Ezonfade, Denbo Oweikpodor, Victor Ebikabowei, Alphonsus Feh, Michael Johnny, Collins Eselemo and others, the party agreed to work for the re-election of Buhari in 2019.

“The Ijaw of APC in Delta State pledge their unalloyed support for the second term bid of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 presidential election, due to his administration’s monumental achievements in infrastructure, economy, people-oriented programmes for the vast majority and the anti-corruption crusade.
