Jibrin’s suit against Dogara for October 21
A Federal High Court, Abuja Division has fixed October 21 for hearing in a legal action instituted by former Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, against the Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara.
Jibrin had filed a suit against the speaker following the House of Representatives’ resolution, suspending Jibrin from participating in the activities of the House for 180 sitting days.
He had claimed that the decision to suspend him contravened the law, since there was a pending court case on the matter.
Jibrin was suspended from the House on Wednesday for allegedly breaching the practices and precedents of the House of Representatives.
