Lagos youths urge support for Ambode’s re-election

A group, the Lagos Community Youth Volunteers, under the leadership of Ambassador Akanni Michael, has called on citizens of Lagos State to show full support for the re-election of Akinwunmi Ambode as the state governor.

A group, the Lagos Community Youth Volunteers, under the leadership of Ambassador Akanni Michael, has called on citizens of Lagos State to show full support for the re-election of Akinwunmi Ambode as the state governor.

The group noted that Ambode has made several progress and achievements in the state, which require his continuity as the state governor.

The youths, at a press conference in Lagos yesterday, said residents should consider the achievements under the governor’s adminstration, which they said, had never been achieved in the state.

According to them, Ambode under his administration has made progress in “constant payment of salaries of public servants before 25th of every month, Abule Egba and Ajah Jubilee Bridges, Ojodu Berger Interchange reconstruction, Light Up Lagos project, among others.

The group’s leader added that the Ambode administration also ensured massive recruitment of youths into the Lagos State civil service jobs, teachers, LASTMA, VIOs, health ministry and all other ministries and agencies in the state.

“Our people in Alimosho benefitted in 21 roads with two bridges under Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration, network of roads in Epe, Aboru-Ajasa-Command Road and Abesan communities with a bridge, Badagry Marina and Epe Marina projects.

“We cannot forget the 67 communities in Ibeju-Lekki connected to the national grid after five years of darkness.

“We cannot forget the various projects in the health sector, including completion of Ayinke House (Baby factory), new intensive care unit, Helipad, new access road in LASUTH, health insurance, among others.”
