As part of her commitment to raising future leaders, Nigeria’s foremost afrosoul singer, Lami Phillips-Gbadamosi and Dowen College Lagos & Kings College, London recently organised a leadership training to empower, educate and encourage youths.

The event, which held at Dowen College, Lagos with the theme: Training Camp For The Youth, reached out to over 40 students from private and public schools in Lagos State.

Participants were selected based on evaluation of their contributions to leadership initiatives in their schools, as well as their academic and extra-curricular activities.

Phillips-Gbadamosi said the programme was aimed at equipping students with tools and skills to face different career paths with the knowledge of a leader, regardless their career paths.

The United Nations (UN) envoy and Oxfam Ambassador for Women and Youths, said the choice of Dowen College was because it has turned many alumni in Ivy League and prestigious colleges all over the world.
