Poised to explore optimizing natural resources to drive energy efficiency and sufficiency for national growth and development, Brandzone Consulting LLC has announced her readiness to host this year’s edition of the #LightUpNigeria Energy Conference.

With the theme, “Repositioning the energy sector for growth”, the annual conference is billed to take place on Tuesday 15th May 2018 at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.

The Brand Innovation Conference organized in partnership with First Bank, Techno Oil, Falcon Corporation, Rain Oil and Eterna Plc will investigate the future of clean energy, energy digitization, and the development of world-class energy infrastructure locally, as well as explore the role of innovation and branding in building strong Nigerian energy brands of the future.

The #LightUpNigeriaConference is designed to draw thought leaders and experts across the various sub-sectors to share insights and knowledge on industry growth topics, timely and relevant issues that would help to unlock opportunities for growth in the energy sector.

It will have in attendance the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, who shall deliver the conference Keynote address, Former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Odein Ajumogobia (SAN), Chairman Lafarge, Africa, Bolaji Balogun, and the Executive Director and Co-Founder, Sahara Group, Tonye Cole who will double as the Conference Chairperson and the Conference Advisory Board Chairman.

Other Speakers confirmed for the conference include Demola Adeyemi-Bero, Managing Director First Exploration and Production Company, Gabriel Ogbechie, Managing Director CEO, Rainoil Nigeria Limited, Nkechi Obi, Vice Chairperson, Techno Oil Limited, Prof. Joe Ezigbo Founder and CEO, Falcon Corporation, Egnr. Dada Thomas, President Nigeria Gas Association and Founder/CEO, Frontier Oil Limited, Yomi Awobokun, CEO, Enyo Retail Oil and Gas, Waheed Olagunji, Executive Director, Bank of Industry, Gbite Adeniji, Senior technical Assistant to the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mamud Tukur, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Eterna Plc. and other Chief Executive Officers of highly reputable Energy, Oil and Gas companies in Nigeria including the International Operating Companies (IOC).

Speaking on the conference, Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Brandzone and Convener of the #LightUpNigeriaConference, Chizor Malize, noted that Nigerian Energy sector has a pivotal role to play in illuminating the nation.

According to him, energy is critical to powering corporations, businesses, infrastructural projects and homes, as the sector remains indispensable and critical to Nigeria’s economic value chain.

Speaking on the conference core focus, she asserted, “With the emerging growth opportunities within the energy sector, comes the need to increasingly grow local capacity, develop skills and drive scale.

The conference shall explore the opportunities in leveraging sound systems/framework, innovation and first-rate branding to build strong Nigerian energy brands of the future that can stand at par with global energy corporations”.

Also speaking, the Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Folake Ani-Mumuney, explained that First Banks partnership with Brandzone on this year’s #LightUpNigeria Energy Conference is in line with the Banks sustainable human and development initiatives.
