The remains of the matriarch of the Ndoma-Egbas, Mrs. Adeline Ndoma-Egba, would be buried today.

Mrs. Ndoma-Egba, who died in December last year at the age of 91, would be interred besides her late husband in Akparabong village in Ikom Council of Cross River State.

Preceding the interment was a special night of tribute on Thursday at the premises of the former Chief Medical Director, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) and head of the Ndoma-Egba family, Prof Rowland Ndoma-Egba, in Calabar, attended by personalities, such as former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Bayo Ojo (SAN), former governor of the state, Chief Clement Ebri, former Permanent Secretary in the state, Chief Michael Monn, Mr. Paul Erokoro (SAN) and host of others.

One of her children and Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, said: “Angels don’t live on earth, but in heaven, so an angel has gone to where she belongs.”

Prof Ndoma-Egba said she was “an incredible person who lived an incredible life.”
