NGO empowers 1000 women in Kebbi

Sarduna Gwandu Foundation Empowerment Scheme has empowered 1000 women across the 21 Local Council Areas in Kebbi State, assisting and training them in different skills.

Sarduna Gwandu Foundation Empowerment Scheme has empowered 1000 women across the 21 Local Council Areas in Kebbi State, assisting and training them in different skills.

Speaking yesterday at the occassion, chairman of the foundation and special adviser on political affairs to the Kebbi State Governor, Alhaji Yusuf Fela said that the foundation was established to assist women willing to further their education and become self-reliant. He added that each of the beneficiaries got N10, 000.

District Head of Ambursa, Sarikin Kudu commended the efforts of the founder, saying it was an effective way of reducing poverty and helping the less privileged ones amongst them. Wife of the state governor, Hajiya Zainab Atiku urged other elites in the society to emulate the gesture by assisting women.
