Nigeria would have developed if Science, Technology was embraced, Onu
Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu said yesterday that Nigeria would have developed beyond her present level if adequate attention was paid to science and technology.
Onu, who was the guest lecturer at the 56th Founders day celebration of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), stated that the post-independence neglect of science and technology made the country a mono economy, stressing that such hindered the speedy growth of the country.
He said developed countries that have become industrialized and among top economies in the world was as a result of adequate attention to science and technology.
He said the present administration of Muhammadu Buhari was working round the clock to reverse this ugly trend and restore the country as an exporting nation.
