THE Lagos State House of Assembly candidate, representing, Ifako-Ijaye Constituency 1, on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Rasheedat Olamide Olabisi Lawal has assured the people of her constituency of quality representation through grassroots-oriented programmes if voted.

The constituency consists of six wards, mainly Ogba/Iju/Isaga/Ajuwon/Obawale, all within the Lagos/Ogun boundary.

Lawal, who described herself as the last alternative to poor representation said the greatest challenge of the people in her constituency is the issue of bad roads, noting that it will be her responsibility to attract government’s attention to transform the area.

“It should be noted that each age group has its own problem. We would ensure free lunch for pupils, free coaching, free transportation for students, provision of school benches and tables and equipping of schools’ libraries, among others. Our focus will be much on students, which will relieve their parents of burdens,” she said.

Super Lady, as she is fondly called, decries past elective office holders in the area for marginalising the youths, noting that the youths are lagging behind because they are not well represented.

The alumni of Lagos State Polytechnic, who contested the councillorship position for Ifo/Akute/Ajuwon Ward 6 in 2007, added that most of the opportunities and benefits from government coffers are made for older generation, discouraging majority of the youths from exploiting their potentials.

The former personal assistants to ex-chairman, Ifo Local Government, Olawale Ogundele and the House of Representative Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), representing Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, Adijat Oladapo-Adeleye disclosed that her official flag-off will hold next Tuesday, March 10, 2015, which will be followed by rallies.
