EVEN as he cited the deterination of his administration to sustaining its efforts at creating job opportunities, Kaduna State Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has also pledged to complete all ongoing projects in the area, just as he reaffirmed that no project has been abandoned by the present administration.

This is as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Kaduna; Mallam Nasir El-Rufai accused the governor of preaching intolerance and indulging in violence.

El Rufai alleged that Yero had at the launch of his campaign on 12 January 12 2015, announced that he had powers to stop El-Rufai from entering Kaduna or leaving his house, which he also threatened to demolish. “The audio recording of that statement has gone viral.”

Besides, highlighting the stride of government in the education sector, the Governor Yero said the present administration has upgraded schools in the area to meet global standards with provision of additional teachers, rehabilitation of structures, provision of learning facilities and regular training of teachers.

The Governor recalled that the present administration in the state has completed several major projects initiated in the last four years among which were, the fourth Kaduna Bridge and Kudenda Road network.

Yero however, observed that PDP as a party is endowed with the zeal and will power to develop the people, as all its policies are geared towards creating enabling environment for businesses to grow and to also develop human capacity.

He solicited for the support of people of Ikara Local Government Area to the party in the forthcoming general elections and urged the people to vote their choice candidates at all levels without fear of intimidation while calling for peaceful polls.

The governor has also assured the people in the area that Government is working round the clock to ensure improved power supply in the local government area with the aim of revamping moribund industries that would create more jobs, stressing, “in a short time from now the 215 megawatts power project in Kudenda will be completed and that will attract more industries to Chikun and environs to reduce unemployment.”

Chairman of Ikara Local Government Area, Mr. Sekiru Kantoma, said the PDP made gains in the area with the recent defection of several members of the opposition to its fold, while assuring victory for the PDP in the forthcoming general elections.

A statement by El-Rufai Media aide, Mr. Samuel Aruwan also alleged “again, the PDP government in Kaduna State and their commissioned campaigners are presently inciting citizens of Kaduna State on religious and ethnic lines against the candidature of both Buhari and El-Rufai. They are also engaging in series of mudslinging aimed at branding APC and its candidates as violent oriented personalities. They are presently circulating leaflets branding Buhari as hater of Christians along with El-Rufai in manipulating citizenry.”

“We will continue to play issue-based politics despite all deliberate attempts and mischief to taint our image and popularity before the good people of Kaduna State. Neither the tons of illicit money they are spreading to bribe voters nor can the violent actions designed to intimidate and frighten citizens save the PDP in Kaduna State from the coming electoral humiliation.”

“The people of Kaduna State are clearly tired of an incompetent, wasteful government that has proved incapable of leading, performing or delivering public services. That is why the people are enthused that the APC has presented Mallam Nasir El Rufai, a man with a clear record of competence and performance.”
