‘No death in Abeokuta building collapse’

Ogun State Government has confirmed that a building still under construction collapsed in the State capital, Abeokuta, on Friday morning.

However, Ogun State’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Adedayo Adeneye, who confirmed the incidence, said there were no casualties and that rescue operations were was still ongoing.

He said the State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, who was supervising rescue operations at the site, has assured that the cause of the collapse will be investigated while also asking the good people of Ogun State to remain calm and cooperate with the rescue team.

He also said the governor has assured that an integrity test will be conducted on the other part of the building to determine its fitness.
