Northern Peace Foundation, a non-governmental organisation working to foster peace in all parts of Nigeria, has inducted the General Overseer of Evangelical Bible Outreach International, Prophet Isa El-Buba, as its new patron, following the death of Ambassador Maitama Sule, the former Ambassador to the United Nations.

Leader of the Foundation, Zarewa Salisu Sagir, who disclosed this at EBOMI Towers, Jos, Plateau State, yesterday, said among several nominees, El-Buba’s name stood out.

He described El-Buba as a beacon of hope for the people of Nigeria, an icon of peace and a trailblazer. He added that El-Buba’s tall credentials make him one Nigerian that has what it takes to promote peace across in the country.

Responding, El-Buba told guests he was overwhelmed by the responsibility. He said: “We are going to use the strongest weapons on earth, that is the pen and paper, to lead a generation of young people of Nigeria that have decided to say they need a change to take place.”
