Odigie-Oyegun assures Nigerians on economic recovery
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has urged Nigerians to be hopeful about the future, in spite of the current economic challenges, saying the federal government has taken adequate steps to bring the economy out of recession and restore the country on the path of economic growth.
Odigie-Oyegun, in a message issued on behalf of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to mark Nigeria’s 56th independence anniversary and signed by the party’s Assistant Director of Publicity, Mr. Edegbe Odemwingie, urged Nigerians to sustain their support and prayers for the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration as it strives to return the country to its deserved place in the comity of nations.
He also commended the people of Edo State for choosing the party’s candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, as governor-elect in the September 28 governorship election.
According to him, their vote is a national mid-term assessment that expresses the confidence of Nigerians in the ability of the Buhari administration to solve the country’s socio-economic challenges.
