Okorocha backs Buhari over key positions appointment
Governor Rochas Okorocha, of Imo State has urged those crying foul that President Muhammadu Buhari did not appoint persons from the Southeast geo-political zone into key federal positions, to take it in good faith.
Consequently, he said people from the zone were favoured largely in the last administration and it still didn’t benefit the zone.
Addressing journalists yesterday at his private residence at Spibat, Owerri, Okorocha regretted that many persons are still asking why the president did not appoint south easterners into juicy posts and stressed that they should stop.
He then went on to emphasize the need for Igbos to unite and fight for their cause in the country maturely. “We want people of vision, mission and action. We are not interested in where they come from,” he insisted.
