Ortom Thanks Benue People For Electing Him

BENUE State Governor-elect, Dr. Samuel Ortom has expressesed appreciation to Benue electorates for voting him as their governor.

Ortom in a statement signed by Mr. Tahav Agerzua, Media Director of the Ortom/Abounu Governorship Campaign Organization, attributed the victory of the APC, at the elections nationwide and the state in particular to God’s intervention in human affairs and the determination of the people to effect change.

He said the victory at the polls conferred on the APC a huge responsibility to turn around the fortunes of the state for the better; stressing that the party cannot afford to toy with the responsibility which he described as sacred.

The Governor-elect pledged to rule with the fear of God and assured the people that he would unfold a plan of action with timelines including a program for the first 100 days.

Meanwhile, the Chairman Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP), Benue state chapter,  Baba Agan has advised the State’s governor-elect, Ortom, to be cautious of members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that are scampering to join All Progressives Congress (APC).
