Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is one of the dignitaries expected at the 2016 edition of the Made-in-Nigeria festival in Eko Atlantic City, the emerging new smart city being built by South Energyx Nigeria Limited (SENL).

Vice Chairman of the firm, Ronald Chagoury Jr., pledged that it would be an event Nigerians would be proud of, adding that it would begin from September 26 to October 1.

Chagoury said that Senate President Bukola Saraki, Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Godwin Emefiele, Chairman, First Bank Nigeria Plc, Ibukun Awosika, amongst others, are to grace the event.

He explained: “At SENL, the commitment to promote the local content can be seen in the construction methods applied in the building of the Eko Atlantic project.”

Chagoury described the Eko Atlantic as a visionary project achieved by a team of major local and international partners, with the aim of becoming Africa’s main business hub.

Other activities lined up include exhibitions, featuring made-in-Nigeria products and services, as well as a Tech Exposition and Hackfest, a special technology symposium and ‘hackaton’ featuring about 150 young Nigerian inventors.
