The Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, has explained his administration’s achievements in the last seven years.

He spoke in Osogbo during a Christian and Muslim inter-religious service to herald the New Year.

Aregbesola disclosed that his administration constructed five overhead bridges in the state, which he said, was an unprecedented feat anywhere in the country.

He promised to complete all ongoing projects before the end of his tenure, particularly the state-of-the art schools, roads and bridges across the state.

The governor ‎explained that outside his administration, no other, whether in the Western Region, Western State, old Oyo State and now Osun State, had constructed five bridges within a political dispensation.

His position was supported by the Bishop of Methodist Church, Osogbo Diocese, Rev. Moses Ogunrinde.

Also, the Ebira community in Jos, Plateau State, organised a New Year retreat to pray against violence in 2018.

The meeting, titled: ‘Ebira Pray’ implored God to end the current hardship and discomfort experienced by the people last year.

The President of Ebira community in Jos, Mohammed Alabi Ibrahim, enjoined the people to always pray for their leaders and inculcate the habit of forgiveness, both in and out of government.
