Panic over medical outreach caused by disgruntled human gongs, says DHQ
The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has attributed Tuesday’s tension in the South East over Nigerian Army medical outreach, as the handiwork of disgruntled persons, who are bent on denting the Armed forces’ image.
It, however, appealed to citizens to disregard what it described as “campaign of calumny against Nigerian Army regarding outbreak of Monkey Pox.” Director of Defence Information (DDI), Maj. Gen. John Enenche, in a statement in Abuja, yesterday, said the panic caused as a result of the outreach and subsequent tension that has enveloped the zone was “machination of the usual mischievous and disgruntled human gongs, who are always in the business of blackmailing the military for their myopic selfish interests.”
