PDP, Akeredolu mourn Agbi

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), South West zone, is mourning one of its Board of Trustees (BoT) members and former Ambassador to Greece, Prof. Olu Agbi.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), South West zone, is mourning one of its Board of Trustees (BoT) members and former Ambassador to Greece, Prof. Olu Agbi.

In a statement made available to journalists in Akure yesterday, the publicity secretary, Mr. Ayo Fadaka, noted that the late Agbi was at the party’s convention last weekend.

“The PDP wishes to announce the passage of Prof. Olu Agbi, a very senior member of our party and a member of the Board of Trustees, who passed on in the early hours of today (Wednesday).”

Similarly, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has described the late don, a former Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and the Asiwaju of Akureland, as an educational giant.

The governor added that the late professor of diplomatic history was a disciplined and intelligent scholar who rose to the pinnacle of his academic career at a young age.
