The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Actus Prime Realty Limited and founder, Patrifields Foundation, Rotn. Moses Omuetha, has donated learning materials to boost the human capital content of Government College Junior and Senior Secondary School, Ikoyi, Lagos.

An alumnus of the 38-year-old institution, Omuetha, in a statement, said: “We are currently looking at ways to come together to start up a functional Government College Ikoyi Old Students Association.

However, a collective effort of a few members from my set of 1996 engaged two teachers on a part-time basis to cover the gaps identified by the school authorities.

“The group has also supported monetarily to tackle the Junior School’s Information Communication Technology (ICT) facility.

Personally, I put in efforts to appreciate the teachers during their birthdays by sending gifts to motivate and let them know how much we care and love them.

“I have also invited the Rotary Club of Ikoyi Metro to assist the school and they have accepted to refurbish the Senior School library.

There are other plans to establish an Interact Club for the school as well. It is important that students develop or have a good sense of humour.

This will help them breeze through the difficult times.”

He continued: “Patrifield Foundation (derived from Moses’ father’s name, Patrick) also sponsors an inter-house debate competition within the junior and senior arms of the college.

The foundation was started as a mark of remembrance for the sacrifice my father made to see that his children got the best of education he could afford.”

According to the principals for the senior and junior arms of the school, Mrs. Olayemi Yusuf, and Mr. Abdulrauf Sanni, the alumnus has been of tremendous help.
