Rotary Club of Lagos Island, Telenoetica empower 192 youths on vocational skills

The Rotary Club of Lagos Island (RCLI) District 9110, in collaboration with Telenoetica and Life Skills Consultants Africa Limited, organised free vocational training on soft skills, MS Excel, masonry, generator mechanic, among others, to empower Nigerian youths.

The Rotary Club of Lagos Island (RCLI) District 9110, in collaboration with Telenoetica and Life Skills Consultants Africa Limited, organised free vocational training on soft skills, MS Excel, masonry, generator mechanic, among others, to empower Nigerian youths.

The training, tagged: “Emprowess (Empowerment through skills development),” which was held to mark Rotary Centenary Day, was part of the club’s effort to alleviate poverty and end unemployment among the youth.

Chairman, Vocational Training, RCLI and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Telenoetica, Abhishek Srivastava, noted that the programme, which is a brainchild of his project, renders different vocational trainings on health safety and environment, electronics and electrical repairs, among others.

Team Emprowess, RCLI and Chief Executive Officer, Life Skills Consultants Africa Limited, Sanjay Srivastava, said that for the past two months, the club, in conjunction with his firm and Telenoetica, trained 192 youths on sales, customer care and marketing skills.

Srivastava stated that Life Skills Consultants also trained youths on personality development, team building, stress management, good team leadership, team player, self-motivation, time management and time balancing, among others.

He noted that Lagos Island Rotary is committed to training 5,000 Nigerian youths in the next two years.

Abhishek added that he got qualified personnel to deliver the training, so that they would in turn, teach skills to make the youth self-reliant and employable.

Also, motivational speaker and soft skill trainer, Kamlesh Jain, said soft skill training was to facilitate people in realizing the true potential in their personal lives, relationships, careers and prosperity.

She noted that it was also to assists the youth in transforming their lives and creating the lives they love to live.
