As Lagos experienced its first rain of the year at the weekend, the Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC), the unit saddled with the responsibility of maintaining and rehabilitating roads and drainages in the state, has called on Lagosians to channel their complaints of bad spots in their area to the corporation’s social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp page.

Making the call at the weekend, head of Public Affairs Unit, Mr. Abayomi Oladapo, said the agency is working round the clock to ensure roads and drainages within the metropolis are in good condition ahead of the rainy season, while the Public Affairs Unit receives lot of complaints from members of the public through mails, newspaper reports and its social media pages.

He said these complaints are collated and forwarded to the team of engineers who are spread across the five divisions of the state for necessary action, adding that activities ranging from base work, fixing of paving stones, grading of roads, patching with asphalt premix, fixing of drainage slabs, and desilting have been carried out on some roads from January till date.

Some of the roads include: Magodo Phase II, PSSDC road Magodo Phase II, Agege Motor Road (Olosha/Idi-ro – Ogunmokun road Junction), Oladipupo Oduwole street, off Ogunnusi road, Bashiru Shittu road, Magodo Phase I, Igando Road, Jonathan Coker road, Ifako Ijaiye, Abiodun Kuye road, Jibowu under pass (both sides), Iju road, Itoikin road, Trinity Avenue, Ikoyi, Water Corporation Drive, VI, Ijegun road, Abaranje road, and Oke-Afa, Ejigbo among others.
