For Mrs. Titi Olumodeji, a sickle cell patient, who is currently on a sick bed for kidney failure, the Yuletide season, is nothing but a period of agony, as she remained uncomfortable going through excruciating pains.

She revealed that she has been in pain since 2013.

“This year, I was directed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), and a series of test were run on me. I was advised to go to the Lagos State Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) where it was confirmed that I was suffering from kidney failure. Since then, I have been undergoing dialysis twice a week.

The 47-year- old mother of two added: “I am presently at home because I can’t afford N50,000 every week for dialysis. I was recommended by Dr. A. O. Banjoko to go to India for a kidney transplant, which would cost N10 million.

“I am appealing to everyone to come to my rescue. I am in pains. Please, save my life.

Dr. Banjoko of Dialyzer Specialist Medical Centre, identified Mrs. Titi Olumodeji as a patient with renal function impairment under his care. He said she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, a year ago in LASUTH and has been on follow- up.

“She is recommend to have a renal transplantation,” he said.

Mrs. Olumodeji needs N10 million for a kidney transplant in India to regain her health,” he said.
