Stakeholders have called on the government to as a matter of urgency take seriously the welfare of those that died in the course of defending the nation from external attacks.

At this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day organised by the Nigeria Fallen Heroes Project (NFHP), in collaboration with Tradewise Company Limited, with the theme, ‘Our fallen heroes: Their sacrifices, their challenges and our responsibilities,’ in Abuja, yesterday, Chairman of the occasion, Maj-Gen. Ibrahim Bata Haruna, said it is necessary to boost the morale of our fallen heroes by providing the required training and materials that would sustain their momentum as they thrive in fulfilling their missions.

Haruna said: “As we remember our fallen heroes, we also need to reflect on the serving officers and men, whose commitment, dedication, loyalty and patriotism drive them to make the ultimate sacrifice.
