Sulaimon seeks N2.5m to treat giant cell tumor
Majafara Sulaimon is desperately in need of N2.5 million to save his life from a giant cell tumor. Sulaimon started noticing pains on his right leg in 2021.
According to him, when the pain started he felt it was a minor pain and he took pain relief drugs and injections, but later discovered it was a giant tumor in July 2021.
The Guardian learnt that a giant cell tumor of bone is a rare, aggressive non-cancerous tumor.
Suliamon is being treated at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi , where an iron was fixed inside his legs, but lacks funding to continue with treatment.
At present his legs are immobile and will need an operation to remove the iron for it to be mobile. He appealed to good spirited individuals to make him work again.
The Guardian confirmed that Dr. Olusumade Opeyemi Idris is the consultant handling the case. He stressed that the iron needed to be removed from the patient for him to walk again.
