Suspected robbers nabbed in Edo hospital maternity ward
Two suspected armed robbers identified as Lucky Ogbebor, 28, and Abubakar Zibiri, 27, have been arrested by personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) at the maternity ward of Central Hospital, Benin City. They were reportedly arrested after they had allegedly robbed the women and were running with their loot.
Spokesman for the Edo State Command of the NSCDC, Efosa Ogbebor, said his officers had been stationed to keep vigil at the hospital following reports of patients being robbed at the hospital.
Ogbebor said it was shouts of the women that led to the arrest of the suspects. Items recovered from the suspects according to him included stabilisers, air-conditioners, clothes and office equipment. He said the suspects would soon be handed over to the police.
