Monarch urges Nigerians to support President Buhari’s administration
The Okumagbe of Weppa Wanno Kingdom, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo, Dr George Egabor, has urged Nigerians to support President Muhammadu Buhari in his bid to address various challenges facing the country.
Egabor made this call on Saturday while speaking to newsmen on the occasion to mark the new yam festival in Agenebode.
According to him, Buhari’s style and administrative approach to issues are commendable.
“We need to support the Federal Government in tackling the challenges facing the country.
“The challenges facing the country require proper evaluation by the president to effect the needed change,” he said.
The monarch, however, lauded the effort of the president in combating the insurgency in the North-East.
“I think he has taken the right step in the right direction to ensure that the menace is brought to an end,” he said.
The monarch said that the event was a social cultural programme which was intended to reunite the community and strengthen unity among the people at home and in the Diaspora.
He said the kingdom is largely an agrarian community and every year, the people pray to God and the ancestors to help them have bountiful harvest and good health.
My message to the people at home and abroad is that they should remain united, live peacefully and support one another in an effort to develop a viable and vibrant community,” he said.
The highlight of the event included: cultural dances by different age groups and the eating of the new yam. (NAN)

Monarch should have appealed to his ancestors to support Buhari’s administration. How does he want Nigerians to support Buhari and Co, plc? Buhari is already in charge, do Nigerians have to do what? Whether Nigerians like it or not, Buhari and co are there. Does Buhari need anything from “talakawas”? Enjoy your sweet yam.
