Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole have killed four terrorists in a fresh ambush to clear remnant of Boko Haram insurgents fleeing Sambisa Forests in Borno State.

The insurgents were killed, while rummaging for logistics and food, as their sources were blocked by military, which captured the forest last year for occupation.

The Deputy Director, Public Relations of Theatre Command, Col. Onyema Nwachukwu, in a statement, yesterday, said 47 jerry cans of petrol were also recovered.

He said the insurgents were desperate for food and logistics, when they met their waterloo.

He disclosed that four suicide bombers, comprising a male and three females were also neutralised at a checkpoint near Muna Garage of Maiduguri.

He noted that 18 persons were injured in the simultaneous multiple blasts and that the injured had been taken to hospital for treatment.
