Trump blasts media for ‘false’ groping allegations
Donald Trump launched a defiant assault on US media Thursday after news outlets published accusations by several women that he sexually assaulted them, with the Republican presidential nominee insisting the incidents never happened.
“These vicious claims about me of inappropriate conduct with women are totally and absolutely false. And the Clintons know it,” Trump told a rally in West Palm Beach, as he assailed Democratic rival Hillary Clinton for being complicit.
“These attacks are orchestrated by the Clintons and their media allies,” he said.
Trump, who trails Clinton in national polls with just 26 days before the election, said there was “evidence to dispute these lies” and that he was preparing a lawsuit against The New York Times, which published the accounts of two women who accused Trump of groping and kissing them years ago.
