Two kill in fresh Kaduna attacks
As gunmen launched fresh attacks in Southern Kaduna, two people from Gogolfa village, Godogodo Chiefdom of Jema’a Local Government Area (LGA) in Kaduna state were on Thursday killed in a gruesome manner. The gunmen are believed to be Fulani herdsmen.
The Community leaders in the affected area, who spoke with journalists, alleged that the Police have deserted their communities, as they only patrol the highways with wailing sirens and not their vulnerable villages. The Kaduna State Police Command Spokesman, ASP Aliyu Usman confirmed the killings of the two men, but denied that the Police had deserted the affected communities.
Meanwhile, the Kaduna State Police Spokesman, ASP Usman said: “It is true and I can confirm that two people were killed in Golkofa. But it is not true that there is no police presence there.
I have been in touch with Kafanchan Area Commander, and he has assured me that there are police vehicles in these villages. But we cannot be on every man’s farm. If you doubt me, go to the villages and find out by yourself.”
