U.S. envoy to deliver UNILORIN convocation lecture

The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, William Symington, will deliver this year’s convocation lecture of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) on October 22.

The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, William Symington, will deliver this year’s convocation lecture of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) on October 22.

Entitled ‘Citizen Leadership and the Link between Economic Diversity and Democratic Good Governance’, the lecture is part of events lined up for the 34th convocation, commencing on Friday, October 12, with a Juma’at service at the UNILORIN Central Mosque by 1.30pm.

While releasing the programme of events at the weekend, the registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Folaranmi Olowoleni, disclosed that an inter-denominational church service would hold on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the Chapel of Light, UNILORIN Main Campus, by 9am.

The Guardian gathered that the main ceremonies would formally kick off on Friday, October 19 with a media briefing at the University Auditorium by 10am.
