• Extend Kindness To Underprivileged, Says Ambode

Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has charged Christians in the country to use the Christmas celebration to pray for national rebirth in the face of the current economic recession, and the myriad of problems plaguing the nation.

He pointed out that since Christendom celebrates the liberation of mankind by the birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas, it was correspondingly germane for Christians to use the season to embark on aggressive prayers for divine intervention in the present affairs of the nation.

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode’s task to Nigerians at Christmas is for them to rededicate themselves to the cause of humanity, supporting the needy and vulnerable members of the society.

Speaking at the Lagos State 2016 Christmas Carol Service at the State House, Ikeja, Ambode promised that his administration will continue to place premium on the welfare of the people, not leaving any group behind.

He further said that improving the standard of living of the residents would be of priority in the New Year.

In his Christmas message, Governor Rochas Okorocha, of Imo State urged Christians to pray for President Muhammad Buhari, and leaders at all levels, as well as, pray for the growth and unity of the nation.
