WaterAid canvasses commercialisation of sanitation facilities
International charity, WaterAid, has stressed the need to scale up the commercialisation of sanitation facilities across the country.
It regretted that government was paying little or no attention to the sanitation sub-sector, leaving over 46 million Nigerians defecating in the open.
The former Country Director, Michael Ojo, in Abuja, yesterday, said to meet the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) on sanitation by 2030, there was need to collaborate with private businesses to deliver sanitation services to the people.
He disclosed that WaterAid is building easy and affordable toilets for rural communities.
