As normalcy returns to the Federal Neuro-psychiatric Hospital, uselu, after some youths of the host community and members of the civil society group, under the aegis of Network of Civil society Organizations, (NOCSON), engaged in free for all, which led the disruption of official activities in the hospital, recently, youths from the host communities have warned against any form of unrest in their community.

The youths from Egua-Iyoba and Egua-Edaiken Community in Uselu, yesterday, warned against sponsored protests by members of ‘the coalition of Civil society group’ over any action capable of causing public disturbance at the health facility in their locality.

The youths of the host communities vowed to resist any intention to disrupt the smooth running of the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric hospital and its neighbours in their community.

They noted that the Uselu community is the home of  the Edaiken of Uselu, Crown Prince, Amb. Eheneden Erediauwa and should not be torn apart in to a war zone by miscreants under the guise of protesters and civil society groups who aim is to threaten the peace and serenity of the royal father community.

The youths in a statement signed by the Osawaru and Charles Nosa, Chairman and Secretary respaectively, from Egua-Edaiken/Egua-Iyoba Communities in Uselu, pledged their unflinching support to the Management of Federal Neuro-Psychiatric for meeting thier corporate social responsibilities.

The youths expressed concern that if there were irreconcilable differences between some former staff and the Management of the hospital, the aggrieved parties and thier surrogate should either approach the Federal Ministry of Health or the court for interpretation, instead of taking the laws into their hands and disturbing and dirupting activities at the psychiatric hospital in Uselu adding that their action is illegal and amounts to cheap blackmail against the Acting Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Osasu Olotu.

“We, therefore, want to state that we will arise to the challenge and defend the course of the hospital, the Medical Director and the management of the hospital. We the youths of Egue Iyoba want to state that we will not stand and watch to see persons who have no portion in the hospital run the hospital aground for any reason”, the statement said.
