Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state has warned miscreants and troublemakers to  stay away from the state saying that the authorities are alive to their responsibilities to  ensure  peace, protection of live and property.

He said his administration had got wind of alleged plan by some individuals  and groups  to use the prevailing situation to cause unrest  and hamper the existing  relative peace in the state.

The  governor’s warning came following a meeting by the state security council  last Friday where  far reaching decisions on  Security were taken.

The  meeting might  not be unconnected with a threat by  the opposition Peoples Democratic Party {PDP}  that  there  might be serious security challenge if the state government  did not pay salaries within seven days.

The PDP in statement  by his  Director of  Media and Strategy, Prince Diran  Odeyemi  had noted that the June ending  deadline for payment  of salaries  set by the governor had  raised tension rather than attempting to solve the problem.

The party said, “from all indications, the June 30 deadline for the payment of salaries by Aregbesola rather than solving the problem, is heightening tension among residents” A statement by the Director, Bureau of Communications and Strategy Office of the Governor, Semiu Okanlawon  quoting resolutions at the security meeting  warned that the state government “will bring all means at its disposal to deter criminals and outlaws who may want to threaten the peace of the state”

Nobody should hide under the cover of the unpaid salaries of workers to cause problem in the state. We , workers in the state are law abiding and no miscreant should soil the image of the descent civil servants. And those that are trying to heat the politics should have a re-think and desist from such evil act. GOD BLESS OSUN STATE AND THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA. OSUN SI MAA DARA JU BAYI LO.
