The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Nasarawa State Chapter, has said it will work tirelessly to ensure a repeat in the defeat of President Buhari come 2019.

The state chairman of the party, Chief Francis Orogu, who spoke with newsmen at the party’s secretariat along Jos Road, Lafia, yesterday, vowed that the same event of defeat by the President would be repeated.

Orogu admitted that the failure of his party was as a result of the failure to zone the presidential candidate to the North, which provoked many to desert the party prior to 2015.

“The PDP has realised its mistakes and the national chairman of the party has apologised. The entire Middle Belt has realigned to ensure the return of power back to the PDP.

“Today, every zone has reasons to turn their back on Buhari, he is no more a threat to the PDP more so the party has zoned the presidency to the North and we are going to bring out a vibrant, agile, creative and available contestant.

“Buhari lost in 2015 during the presidential election in Nasarawa where APC was the ruling party. He will lose again in 2019 not only here but in the Middle Belt zone,” Orogu stated.

The state party chairman, who lamented that three years into the ruling party, all they could produce was un-convicted list of looters when the ruling party is expected to role out their achievements of campaign promises, affirmed that the Buhari of today is not the Buhari of three years ago that was propagated to be the Messiah.

Besides, the chairman insisted that his party would not contest the proposed local council election and would not align itself with illegality.“The world is aware that the present Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC) chairman and members of the board are all card-carrying members of the APC. “What do you expect us as a political party to do other than to boycott the election where the umpire are all of the entire opponent,” Orogu alleged.
