Umahi gets support of Ebonyi South

The people of Ebonyi South Senatorial zone, under the aegis of Ebonyi South Public Officers Forum have declared their readiness to purchase the nomination form for the re-election of Governor David Umahi ahead of the 2019 general election. 

Speaking by a way of motion moved by the Chairman of Afikpo South Local Government, Chief Eni Uduma Chima, the President of the Forum and Deputy Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chief Odefa Obasi Odefa, said they adopted Governor Umahi as a sole candidate in the 2019 general election because of his developmental programmes. 

Odefa said the forum having witnessed the monumental development in Ebonyi decided to, in addition to his adoption as a sole candidate in the PDP from the zone, also purchase his nomination form.

Earlier in a motion for adoption of the governor for second term, Chima said the governor has done so much that the only thing that would sustain the tempo of development in the state will be his re-election for a second term. 

In support of the motion, member representing Ivo state constituency, Mazi Oliver Osi commended the governor for his numerous developmental projects in the state.

Umahi while responding to the endorsement described the show of solidarity and love by the stakeholders and assured them that his administration will continue to sustain the development of the state. He assured them that his administration is committed to development of all sectors of the state by ensuring that every sector is developed simultaneously.
