It was gathered that Shagaya might have dumped politics to face her oil and gas business, leaving it for the real politicians. Further checks confirmed that she is no longer a regular in her country home in Ilorin, unlike early last year when she was the most powerful woman in Kwara State politics, as a result of her connections in the corridors of power.

Shagaya, who is the closest ally to former Nigerian First Lady, Mrs. Patience Goodluck Jonathan, has now concentrated more on her first love- oil and gas business
