Urhobo Leaders, Youths Seek Jonathan, Okowa Victory

A GATHERING of virtually all the PDP Urhobo political leaders, flagbearers, federal government appointees and youth leaders on Thursday evening in Effurun, Delta state, finally rested fears of alleged Urhobo disunity as they spoke in one voice and clamoured for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan and the victory of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as governor of Delta state in the forthcoming general elections.

At the rally organized by the Urhobo Youth Leaders Association, the chairman of the occasion, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Dr. Steve Oru, observed that, “the Urhobos are sending a strong signal of unity, support and affirmation that President Jonathan remains the best candidate to be President of Nigeria in view of his laudable performance”.

Oru said the gathering of Urhobo political heavy weights at the PTI conference centre, including Ighoyota Amori, Senator Emmanuel Aguarivwodo, Chief Tom Amioku, Evelyn Oboro, Mrs. Judith Enamuator, Lovettte Awhin Idisi, Mike Adiotomre (father of the day), Prof G.G. Darah and several others was enough indication that the Urhobo is still united and speaking with one voice.
