Parents of 15-year-old Lagos pupil, Austin Daniel, have appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to assist their son, who is suffering from heart-related disease.

According to the boy’s father, Austin Saviour, Daniel was recently discharged from the Lagos State Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja after spending six weeks.

The father said his family has spent N1.5 million on tests and drugs in the course of the boy’s treatment.

He said the family will need N5 million for tests and treatment.

He is appealing to philanthropists and others to help his son, who he described as highly cerebral.

“Daniel showed promise of getting better before he was discharged at LASUTH. His health has relapsed and we had expended all we had on initial treatments.

“I want Nigerians to assist my son,” Saviour said.
