Sean “Diddy” Combs Apologizes for 2016 Assault Video
Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs addressed a disturbing video that recently emerged, showing him assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
In an Instagram video, Diddy expressed deep regret. He acknowledged full responsibility for his actions, calling it one of his life’s “darkest moments.” He emphasized his disgust with his behaviour.
The Incident
CNN released the video on May 17th. It depicts an altercation between Combs and Ventura that mirrors her claims in a lawsuit settled last November.
Security footage shows Ventura leaving a hotel room and heading towards an elevator. Combs follows and grabs her violently, throwing her to the ground. He proceeds to kick her and confiscate her purse and suitcase.
Diddy’s Response
Combs revealed in his video that he sought professional help, including therapy and rehabilitation, after the incident. He expressed sincere remorse and a commitment to personal growth.
Despite his apology, he did not explicitly seek forgiveness, simply stating his deep regret.
