9 Payment Service Bank (9PSB) has advocated the promotion of health awareness among the workforce to enhance employee well-being and workplace productivity.
This was made known during a webinar session titled, ‘My Health, My Right,’ facilitated by a health expert from AXA Mansard wellness team to commemorate this year’s global public health week with the theme ‘Fostering Peace as a Prerequisite for Equitable Health’.

The initiative, according to the bank, is part of a broader effort to enhance staff well-being and productivity through health education, focusing on regular exercise, proper diet, sufficient rest and the avoidance of harmful substances, aimed at improving life expectancy and overall quality of life for employees.

The Chief Executive Officer of 9PSB, Branka Mracajac, emphasised the importance of health in achieving a balanced life and high workplace productivity. She said good health is essential and non-negotiable and is determined by people’s daily choices and intentional efforts toward achieving desired outcomes.

Mracajac highlighted the company’s commitment to its employees’ health, noting that all staff members are covered by health insurance in partnership with a designated Health Management Organisation (HMO).

“There is always a price paid for every good outcome. Self-discipline should be inculcated into our daily lives and the right steps taken to avoid poor lifestyles that negatively impact our health. Therefore, we have no reason not to take our health seriously. We will continue to thrive and take adequate care of our human capital as they are key to the success of our organisation,” she stated.

The highlight of the health week was a collective 42-minute walk involving all staff members to underscore the importance of regular physical exercise and enhance mental alertness, cardiovascular health, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
