Popular Nigerian Afrobeat duo BurnaBoy, and Davido have both paid a heartfelt tribute to the mother of their fellow artist Wizkid, who recently passed away.

Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, Wizkid’s mother, received an emotional homage from BurnaBoy at the Afronation Fest in Detroit, United States.
Following the announcement of Mrs. Balogun’s passing, numerous celebrities and notable figures have used social media to express their condolences to Wizkid and his family.
However, Burnaboy’s tribute stood out as he went beyond words. During his performance at the concert, BurnaBoy paused his set, and asked the audience to observe a minute of silence in remembrance of Wizkid’s late mother.
BurnaBoy then proceeded to sing a line from the song ‘Ginger,’ a collaboration between him and Wizkid.
The touching gesture displayed BurnaBoy’s solidarity and support for his colleague during this difficult time.
The tribute added a poignant and heartfelt moment to the Afronation Fest, showcasing the deep bonds within the Nigerian music industry.
