The organization, in collaboration with the Spouses Forum of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), empowered both primary and secondary school students in the community ahead of the new session.
The president of the foundation, Damilola Onebamhoin, stated that the initiative aims to support and encourage children from under-privileged background.
According to her, the effort was meant to inspire children to return to school in the face of the challenging economic situation in the country.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the foundation awarded 10 scholarships to deserving students and distributed essential school supplies, including bags, shoes, lunch boxes, flasks, water bottles and stationeries.

Onebamhoin said: “We have observed that many discouraging factors are leading children to drop out of school.
“In our small way, we want to motivate them to continue their education.”
She also urged parents to prioritize their children’s well-being, emphasizing that in spite of the current economic hardships, a child’s educational development remains crucial.
The Foundation President said 10 scholarships were awarded to deserving pupils, and “each year, more children will benefit from this support.”
Addressing the children, she encouraged them to focus on their potential rather than their limitations.
“Many successful people, including engineers, Governors, and even Presidents, grew up without basic items like shoes.
“You can achieve anything you aspire to, regardless of your current circumstances,” Onebamhoin said.

“Education has shaped both ourselves and our spouses, who are engineers. As such, we feel a responsibility to empower society, especially children, so they can have a brighter, more educated future.
“We need more female and male engineers,” she added.
