At just 22, Joel Dre, a sensation from Asaba, is poised to make his mark in the music world with his debut single, Burst. The track showcases his unique fusion of Afrobeats, Dancehall, and R&B, wrapped in exceptional vocals and standout lyricism. In Burst, Joel expresses his desire for love, comparing his muse to the celebrated actress Lupita Nyong’o.

Burst is a celebration of young love and the excitement that comes with it,” Joel shares. “It captures those moments when you just want to be unforgettable with someone special. I wanted to create something that resonates with anyone who’s ever craved that kind of connection.”

Influenced by notable artists such as Tay Iwar, Wizkid, Teddy Swims, and Joeboy, Joel Dre’s artistry is a dynamic blend of emotive melodies and captivating rhythms. His ability to effortlessly transition between vocal registers adds depth to his music, while his cheeky and flirty personality resonates particularly with women aged 18 to 40.
