He said this in his sermon for Professor Motunrayo Olumakaiye, who held a three-in-one celebration — 50th birthday celebration, 25th wedding anniversary and elevation Thanksgiving for life — at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos.
Congratulating the celebrant and her husband, Ndukuba said a grateful heart will always give glory to God for everything in life, be submissive to Him, and give his/her time and talent to His service.
Commenting on the celebration, Prof. Olumakaiye, said: “I thank God for being with me this 25 years in my marriage. I thank Him for leading me to marry the love of my life. My husband has been so wonderful, very supportive and gives me peace of mind.
“Clocking 50 is something great and I am elated for it. I am also happy that since age 15 I gave my life to Christ, I have been consistent in the service of God,” she said.
Counseling young ladies about marriage, she said marriage is not a bed of roses and that young people should not go into it because of money, but for the will of God in their lives.
The Most Revd. Humphrey Olumakaiye described his wife as his angel and a woman of great substance, saying he draws spiritual strength from her because she is submissive, very prayerful, gentle, generous, charming and over all, a woman with a very large heart.
