According to the verification committee, only 27,111 workers participated in the exercise.
Presenting the bio-data verification report, yesterday, in Damaturu, the YSPS Permanent Secretary and chairman of the committee on the nominal roll of civil servants, Dr Bukar Kilo, stated: “Today’s event was the presentation of a report on bio-data capture verification to the Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.”
In overcoming the challenges of non-verification of workers in the civil service, Kilo directed the set-up of a bio-data capture verification committee.
Besides the verification exercise, he said all staff that failed to submit their forms are to present their original credentials, employment records, and a six-month bank statement to the committee.
Kilo continued: “The bio-data verification exercise will ensure the accuracy of our records in authenticating the total workforce on the payroll of the state government.”
